Not the biggest bands this year but they were good bands and the people make Infest, good hearted and fabulous to the last. The 4 venue set up actually works well, only drawback is the walk between. This is for Bradford though, it remains to be seen how things will be in Manchester next year. If you want to try an alternative festival with a really good atmosphere and friendly people, Infest is a great choice.

Infest 2024, St George's Hall, Bradford - 23rd August 2024
This year's infest saw a diverse line up. Saw a lot of bands I would have seen and found these festival highly enjoyable. Sound was excellent and inclusion of Underground as an after gig venue was perfect. Looking forward to Infest 2025 already.

Some really good acts. Usually enjoy the surprise as there are often quality unknowns. Republica were an outfield choice and were probably not worth the headline, felt a bit unpractised and out of shape for a headline session, fortunately every other act outperformed them so all turned out well. Shame to leave Bradford after next year, but it is clear that the City doesn't offer the environment or venues needed, the university was a perfect space but sadly closed the venue. The City Centre is quiet, almost devoid of any nightlife on a Saturday night,. Walking between the venues with City of Culture works meant there were some very badly lit areas and it felt more unsafe than it probably was. Looking forward to the change to Manchester next year.

Enjoyed it - a lot of improvements on last year. Found the line up better and more varied, strobe lights wernt as overpowering and better sound in the hall. Enjoyed the after parties as well. There was a lot of new stuff like Barter Town which was a fantastic thrifting idea. There is a new location for next year so can't make any comment on improvements; the actual festival is perfect as is. A well being space would be nice for people like me who are a little quiet and with hidden disabilities. I can't wait to get my ticket when they are on sale in October.
