I went to DL on Friday - my first every DL. Loved it - mud and all! I went there for Def Leppard, Clutch, Slash ft Myles Kennedy and Whitesnake. The atmosphere was brilliant, the bands were excellent, people watching was great. Not so positives The car parking staff directing where the cars need to go, do need to know where to direct people, instead of saying 'over there somewhere'. Not much signage on the way to the purple car park. The Guest area/VIP needs to have better view of the main stage etc? Apart from the that, i had a blast.

The event was flawless. Wonderful people, stages brilliant, bands terrific, sound quality awesome, food good... so that side of it was enorously fun. However, be aware the tiolet facilities were dreadful, again. SImply not enougj of them. There were at least three places where they could have more toilets and I simply do not understand why they seem to skimp on this. Car parks. Again, nothing to tell you which car park or which part of the car park you're in so set your SatNav or you'll have a hell of a job inding your vehicle again. Don't take your bike. Again, car park is awful, no lockers to store your stuff so pointless trying to ride there. If you're a vegan or vegetarian take your own food. There one one, absolutely fantastic, vegan food seller but just the one, everything else is meat but there's a fantastic selection, and some pretty natty and not over priced clothes sellers. Great event as long as you prepare well, and bring your own toilet roll!
