Great performances, especially Stereo MC's.

The venue was too small for amount of people. Couldn't get back into the room for Happy Mondays.

Amazing, rolling back the years.

All 3 bands were great, especially the Mondays. Great venue too.

Happy Mondays

What a great gig. Especially with Stereo MC's and Inspiral Carpets as support. Seeing them again in Sheffield next week, can't wait!

Happy Mondays, Rock City, Nottingham - 5th April 2024

Twisting my mellow...

Great to see the band on the flesh, but we had a choice between seeing them and hearing them. Base was a little high. Otherwise a great atmosphere, and tunes. Support were good too, wish we'd got there earlier for more of the Stereo MCs

Happy Mondays, Rock City, Nottingham - 16th March 2024

Happy Mondays, a legendary British band formed in Salford in the late 80s, embodies the vibrant spirit of the Madchester music scene.

Fronted by the enigmatic Shaun Ryder and joined by legendary dancer and maraca shaker Bez, their fusion of indie rock, funk, and dance elements catapulted them to cult status.

With their landmark album "Pills 'n' Thrills and Bellyaches" in 1990, they unleashed anthems like "Step On" and "Kinky Afro," defining a generation.

Known for their chaotic live performances and hedonistic lifestyle, the band was an emblem of the era's excess and creativity.

Happy Mondays' enduring influence on alternative music and their enduring appeal to fans worldwide make them an iconic force in British music history.

Their complete discography includes albums Squirrel and G-Man Twenty Four Hour Party People Plastic Face Carnt Smile (White Out) (1987), Bummed (1988), Pills 'n' Thrills and Bellyaches (1990), Yes Please! (1992) and Uncle Dysfunktional (2007).
