UB40, O2 Apollo Manchester, Manchester - 17th December 2017

I have been waiting to see UB40 for many years now and finally got the chance to see them. It was a birthday treat and was not disappointed at all. I would of liked to see UB40 when they were all together because without Ali Campbell, Astro and Mickey it was missing that voice and sparkle that made the band great. Overall, I had a good night, never been to O2Apollo before but it was well organised, bar was expensive and not sure why alot of people were so drunk at the end of the night!

UB40, Brighton Centre, Brighton - 13th December 2017

That’s how my mum described it. So
great reliving my childhood with my mum and dad. Wish they played more of the older tunes and for longer. Nice spacious venue .

UB40, Exeter University Great Hall, Exeter - 21st December 2017

Would have been a perfect evening if it had not been for a group of young ladies (term used loosely) who were high on drugs and alcohol and proceeded to push in front of us and dance wildly...generally annoying many of us.

Naming themselves after the unemployment benefit form, UB40 formed in 1978, before releasing their debut album ‘Signing Off’ in August 1980 considered by many to be one of the greatest reggae albums ever released by a British band. It was the start of a career that has since seen the band have over forty UK Top 40 hit singles and achieve sales of over 100 million records, making UB40 one of the most successful British groups of all-time.

See them play live. They have announced shows taking place at Nowton Park during May, then Royal Albert Hall in London, Zebedee’s Yard in Hull and St. Phillip’s Gate at Bristol during June 2018.

Plus, they are also appearing at Arena Birmingham during December 2018.

Your UB40 tickets are just about to come on sale and are expected to sell very quickly. Set a personal reminder with Gigantic making you ready for the release with a text message or email.

The award-winning group was first started by friends from various schools and practiced in a local basement. Although the Birmingham band identified with left wing politics, they looked to move past the other punk and two tone bands that proliferated the country at the time. Influenced by jazz, dub and reggae, the band developed a sound of their own through long and arduous practice. The practice paid off as they shone out when they began playing live concerts - including being invited to perform by Rock Against Racism.

UB40 have topped the charts both here and in the US. Their hit singles include Rat In Mi Kitchen, Don’t Break My Heart, Food For Thought, I Got You Babe, I Can’t Help Falling In Love With You and Red Red Wine.

UB40 concert tickets are always in high demand and as we only have limited supplies we do advise you to book nice and early to avoid disappointment. Gigantic always offers the very best experience buying your essential gig tickets so stick with us!
