Holding Absence, Stylus, Leeds - 25th November 2023

A performance of a life time.

For a very VERY long time I’ve wanted to see Holding Absence and I finally got to! I was overwhelmed with emotion and spent the majority of the gig crying with joy. Thankyou guys and to your backstage team for a truly unforgettable experience!

Holding Absence, The Drill, Lincoln - 22nd January 2023

standard metal gig

awesome, energetic support. brilliant music especially from void of vision. security didn’t safely deal with crowd surfers, often dropping them onto the people in the front row

Best Band On The Planet

Holding Absence continue to prove they're the best band on the planet with each live show I see them at. Mixing new songs with their older, lesser played songs was setlist perfection, no matter the song, EVERYONE knew EVERY word. I dont think there are casual Holding Absence fans. Their music just draws you in and demands you listen to it continuously. The crowd were great all night, the perfect mix of pits and crowd surfing without it ever getting too boisterous, everyone having the absolute best time. The band sounded incredible as always (technical difficulties at one point aside) and it put down a massive marker for any other gig in 2023 to try and beat

Holding Absence, O2 Academy2 Leicester, Leicester - 20th January 2023

Welsh rockers Holding Absence go big on the riffs, tapping into post-hardcore and post rock.

They have released three studio albums, including an eponymously titled debut which dropped in 2019, The Greatest Mistake of My Life (2021) and The Noble Art of Self Destruction (2023).

Formed in 2015, the Cardiff-based band now consists of Ashley Green (drums), Lucas Woodland (vocals, keys), Scott Carey (guitar, backing vocals) and Benjamin Elliott (bass).
