Brilliant gig on a cold October night.

Superb energy, really charismatic performance giving everything on a cold Monday night. Top drawer!

Baxter Dury, The Leadmill, Sheffield - 16th October 2023

Electric performance

Baxter has a very eccentric and individual stage presence that draws the audience in and keeps them engrossed. The band behind him are excellent providing a foundation for him to layer his provocative lyrics, almost like spoken word but with a pulse that makes the crowd move. A great night!

Baxter Dury, KOKO, London - 29th November 2017

Unafraid to visit the seedy side of life, there’s no mistaking the deadpan delivery of Baxter Dury. Fusing disco beats with sprechgesang post punk, a wry satire runs deep throughout his music, commenting on the sex, sleaze and faded glamour of the stinking rich and unconscionably famous.

His studio albums include Len Parrot's Memorial Lift (2002), Floor Show (2005), Happy Soup (2011), It's a Pleasure (2014), Prince of Tears (2017), B.E.D. (with Étienne de Crécy and Delilah Holliday) (2018), and The Night Chancers (2020).

A counterculture icon, Baxter has teamed up with such renegades as Jason Williamson of Sleaford Mods and Rose Elinor Dougall from The Pipettes. He has also appeared on the Fat White Family single "Tastes Good With The Money".
