Post gig I’ve left really happy with my experience. even scraped the cash together to buy some merchandise. Gotta support your touring artists! Anyway this was not the feeling I had when watching the support band. For a £20 ticket I was expecting great things. They were poor, really poor for a gig of this size. It looked like they didn’t know or want to be on the stage together. They didn’t try and perform. It was more like they working in London finance than lived to be in a band. Forgettable songs, so forgettable I’ve forgot their name to shame them. Anyway And you will know us... made up for this with a Stella performance. Keeping up the intensity and quality of songs for what was close to a straight 2 hours. Playing Madonna and most of the greatest hits back to back. I was really impressed with their level of fitness and commitment to each song. Constantly switching drummers and lead vocals duty’s is something you don’t see many bands do. And these guys did it really well. As a bass player myself I loved the semi stylings of a post modern Phil Linnott look. Great playing too! The room was well attended. Sound could have been better. The guitars seemed to drop out at times. But that could have been because the musicians were battering them so hard. Overall a great show. I wish the band well on the rest of the tour. How they are gonna keep that up I don’t know. Well done everyone!
